We just don't get no sleep with these night games but so be it. ESPN don't even like Alabama why do they want us on their TV? RTR!

Unfortunately Preacher, the 4 letter network loves Alabama. A lot of viewership makes them money. What's surprising is that CBS gets first choice of SEC games, and they aren't picking Bama much. Maybe because the rest of the SEC is down this year, at least the teams that Bama has played so far.

Pleases me.  I have a gun show next weekend, but can be home in time to watch it (if I sneak out at 5PM).

Look at it this way 2.  With an evening game time you can get in a round of golfball before kickoff if you want to.  I will also be able to take care of my grass mowing if I have any to do...  8)

CBS held this time slot to see how all the teams did. Arkansas laid a big flat egg at South Carolina. I knew CBS would not pick our game if they lost. CBS is looking to get as many SEC teams on as they can while also picking a good game. They know they will have us for UT (no other good games that day), LSU at night, Auburn and most likely the SEC Championship game. They already had our Vandy game. By the end of the year they will have had us more than anyone.

It's going to make work crazy on Saturday, but I like it.

Shockingly, ESPN has a 30 minute "College Football Scoreboard" scheduled between each game next Saturday.  (Their marketing program apparently only allows for scheduling 3 hours per football game).  So maybe the Bama game won't appear on too many channels.   :-\

And 2, 6:15 is much better than the 8 pm time slot.

No disagreement here.  ;D

BTW, since I'll be at the gun show until just before gametime, you (2) are keeper of the in-game thread this week.  Try to do it correctly.  We don't need any bad karma.   :lol2: :lol2:

I hate ESPN.  They make it very difficult to DVR the games for archival purposes.  I have about 100 games stored away on my media server.

Last week they had 3 hours and 45 minutes between the start of Miami-FSU but they still managed to FAIL!!!

More likely than not ESPN fails again this week.  3:30 is usually not enough time to cover a game with commercials, unless it is two option teams.  Other networks schedule 3:30 but leave room to grow.  ESPN has been mostly scheduling 3 hour intervals this season, which apparently has annoyed enough fans that they now are putting in a "gratuitous" extra half-hour.   :eyeroll:
