This is the 5th straight game for Bama on the road, that's a long road swing.. It won't be easy tonight though, those ACC teams play a very good brand of basketball. Bama will be minus one of their leading players, Dazon Ingram, who broke his foot this past week and is out for the season. It will be interesting to see who fills his spot on the team rotation. RTR!!

The team will need to pick up his slack. Won't be easy, he appeared to be a pretty good court general, even for a freshman.

I agree. He played with a lot of energy that set the tempo for the team. Coleman will have to pick up his game a bit and play like a winner now rather than a sub.

I flew into Seattle today for a business trip with meetings starting tomorrow. I went to a sports bar to watch the game. All these folks watch are NFL games. I had the whole bar pulling for Bama at the end of the game

Big win for the Tide. We are much more competitive than ithoughtwe would be this year.

Just got back from eating out. What a pleasant surprise. Big win on the road....again!

Another great win for the boys tonight, it was a road win. I thought the team did some things extremely well tonight, especially their offensive rebounds. The sad part of all that is we didn't get the number of points off the rebounds that we should have. The boys played much better in the first half, especially shooting, than they did in the second but I'm sure Clemson made some major adjustments and it affected the team in the second half.

It's nice when the team can get wins, especially on the road, as they are still learning about themselves. One thing is for certain though, they are not quitters. That is 5 games in a row on the road which is very tough on the team. They get to go home now and play one game against Winthrop, Wednesday night, and then go to Birmingham to play Oregon in the Civic Center. The Oregon game will actually be like another road game for Bama. The Oregon game is Dec. 21st at 8 pm for any of you in that area who have been wanting to see them play.

Looking ahead, there's a very good chance Bama goes into conference play at 10-2.  With 10+ conference wins, which seems likely based on how they're playing right now, and with the non-conference schedule, Bama would be in great shape for an at-large bid to the tourney.

Only 2 Tide players scored in double figures

They actually won a close game again. This is one thing that has been missing in the past. One point wins count just as much as 10 point wins and we have been losing them in the past few years. RTR!

Yep, we used to lose all the close games. Players have to be coached in how to win the close games.

Did you see CAJ after the game talking to the announcers? What a salesman & representative for Tide BB. Also, allowed one announcer listen in while coach talked to team on sidelines.

with about a minute to go in the game I thought: Oh no, not another close loser. Thank goodness we pulled it out! RTR!

There's nothing better to develop a team than having a bunch of 1-2 point wins on the road. I know Coach AJ didn't make this schedule but it is playing right into his hands as far as a developing tool for him. There's a big difference in the team that I saw at the start of the season and the team that I see now. :clap:

as an after thought, did anyone notice bruce and aubarn got beat by MTSU ? :rofl: :rofl:

Glad you mentioned that. Barn gave up 88 points but had a lead but blew it. It was the most points scored by MTSU in a game so far this season. Next up for Barn is Mercer (a very solid mid-major), then undefeated & #10 Xavier @ Xavier.

Haven't read all the post but here is what I saw.  Best job of rebounding I have seen in a while.  Missed too many shots in the paint, need to go up strong and jam it or get fouled.  Coleman makes too many mistakes in close game.  Unforced turnovers could have cost the game.  Bama hung in and won the close game on an away court.

I've said that several times. Plays out-of-control & takes too many bad shots.

He has great quickness & needs to drive to the basket to draw fouls & take fewer 3 pointers.
