Title: "Craig Kuligowski a 'massive' hire for Alabama"
Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on February 19, 2018, 07:44:35 PM
Not quite official, but looking highly likely.  This guy has a great history of building NFL linemen.

Sounds like he's a good 'um.  Was a lineman under Saban at Toledo; been a while!

Tuscaloosa News now reporting it, so I'd say it's about as official as it gets without the school releasing a press statement.

So the ass't coaches merry-go-round has finally stopped.  I hope the new hires turn out to be great coaches & recruiters, and that we can hold our staff together for a couple of years.  There's been too much turnover the past two years.

McB, I think that depends on how much success we have.  If we continue making the CFP and winning then our assistant coaches will continue to get hired elsewhere.  As long as we continue winning, I'm ok with that...  8)

Quote
Landing Kuligowski as defensive line coach is considered a big deal for the Crimson Tide.

This 49-year old known as "Coach Kool" has long been regarded as one of the nation's top defensive line coaches and will now be joining Alabama's staff after spending the last two seasons at Miami.

Aided by Kuligowski's defensive line, the Hurricanes ranked first nationally in sacks last season and were fourth in tackles for a loss.

I think this is a huge get. From everything I've heard, this guy is the real deal, both in coaching 'em up and recruiting.

NALT -- Obviously what you say is 100% correct.  Still, I hope somehow we can hold on to our staff - (assuming they are doing a good job) - for a couple of years.  We may not get that but we need a time of stability.
