Hey everyone.  I finally thawed enough to get on to check in.  It is so cold here in north Alabama that the local gang-bangers had to pull their pants all the way up... 6 degrees when I woke up around 7 this morning. I was spending the day watching Bonanza and Gunsmoke until Mrs. Nalt came in and took over the tv.  Chech, if you don't mind, how about PMing me the URLs for the knives you have for sale on Ebay. I'd love to check them out and possibly bid on some... 2, safe travels when you do start back toward the Carolina's... Preacher, I hope you and Mrs. Dottie can stay warm...

NALT, I was watching Bonanza and Gunsmoke too. It's fun to see guest stars on there that go on to bigger things. Today, I saw Slim Pickens, Harry Morgan, David Soul (Starsky & Hutch), Gerald McRaney and Gary Busey. They don't make shows like that anymore.
I saw those except Gerald McRaney.  Mrs. Nalt told me that he was on that particular episode after it was over.  I actually got to meet McRaney briefly in person back in 2012.

Did you win a meet and greet through a look alike contest?   Grin
Lol, you wouldn't believe just how many people have told me that I "look like Major Dad!"  Was hoping to get a pic with him but he was in too big of a hurry...  Angry Angry Angry

Ha! Never thought about it but you do.

Good morning, Boog Beaters.  Coffee

Hope Mrs 2 is feeling well this morning after her "minor surgery".  Please give her some e-flowers from me.

Nice to beat those Boogs last night, end their winning streak, and do it without our best player.    As usual, they're overrated.  But the refs were horrid, horrid, and horrible.

Again cold here, as all over the east today.  BUT, should get above freezing today, and it's welcome.  I'm going to the gym this morning (if I can get out of the driveway).  Ole Miss is open again.

Rotten story about the Bama sorority girl (from NJ) who wrote the racist crap.  Good riddance.

Good morning folks.  It is still cold here, 11 degrees when I left the house, but supposed to get up to about 39 this afternoon.  The roads were clear for the drive in to work.  Kids are going to school but are on a two hour delay.  I have my second post-surgery follow-up this afternoon.  I hope he says I can get rid of the immobilizer I've been wearing since Dec. 7th...  Prayers for Mrs. 2.  Safe travels if any of y'all have to get out to go anywhere...

Well, I took a chance and made the trip. Took over 9 hours. Wrecks and abandoned cars everywhere. There were 2 separate serious accidents involving 18 wheelers between Auburn and Opelika. It took me an hour and 15 minutes to get through there. I can't get the Auburn stench out of my car.

A lot more ice on the roads than I anticipated. Just glad I made it. I felt like kissing the ground when I got here.

Good morning, folks.  Coffee

Finally we've reached a period of slight warming.  It got up to 40 yesterday; 23 now though.  Should be warmer again today; up to 45.  Woot.

Glad you made it to SC, 2.  Sounds nasty there around Opelika.

The shuffle of coaches continues for Bama.  We should get a new OC very soon, maybe today.  I'm hoping the beaver-faced, butt-dialing liar is not part of the mix.

The city and county schools were still closed yesterday; not sure about today.  All I know is I'm heading back to the gym this morning, and the school buses better not get in the way!!

 Kiss

Good morning folks.  Glad you made it safely 2.  Hope you can get that smell outta your car soon.  Might try driving around that smelly area next time.  Maybe drive through Miami?    Anything to keep from going through the booger-eatinest village...  Enjoy the workout Chech.

I went back to the doctor yesterday.  Six weeks post surgery check-up went well.  He said that I don't have to wear the immobilizer splint any longer and to start doing strengthening work.  He said that I can do pretty much anything that I want but to just use common sense.  Sounds reasonable to me... I think it will still be a while before I start doing weight training though.  Therapy bands will have to do for now...

Good news on the splint removal, NALT. Yeah, start slow and build up. No need to risk injuring it and setting you back.

Lol, I'll try to resist.  I have a plan to start trying to drop some weight over the next few weeks, through the end of March anyways.  During that time I plan to increase my rang of motion and start doing some slow strengthening.  Hopefully around the 1st of April I can start building strength at a slightly faster rate...
