Dr. Jerry Punch who Kurt Busch was talking so abusive to has been with ESPN and covering NASCAR for what 20-25 years. Maybe a little longer.
He is a fixture with NASCAR / ESPN.
When he first started covering the races he still practiced medicine.
He was like a doctor for the teams traveling all over the country. Those race teams are on the road from February to November. One of them get sick, he would treat them, prescribe medicine.
I am sure he doesn't have to do that now. Such huge business.

I bet Joe Gibbs Racing came close to terminating Kyle for wrecking the points leader under caution. Kyle to has had numerous incidents for the past 5 years or so.
NASCAR stopped him from driving for two races and M&M candies pulled their sponsership and I don't think they have made a decision for 2012 yet. So he could still be out of that ride. As far I know NASCAR has Kyle on suspension indefinitely.
