Title: What Do New SEC HCs Mean For Bama?
Post by: McBaman on December 07, 2017, 04:13:10 PM
I've been waiting to start this question until all hires were made.  So Arky, aTm and UT all have new promising HCs. We play all three every year, so what will their future teams be like?  Stronger?  Good enough to beat Bama?  Good enough to beat LSU or Barn?  Will improved recruiting at these schools hurt Bama?

It would help our schedule strength if at least two of them could get into the top 20 teams.  If Barn & LSU can stay in top 20, then we'd have four games vs. top 20 teams + a season opener which could add a 5th.  That would be a pretty good schedule.

What would really help would be if Arky, aTm or LSU could give Barn two losses every year.  That would give us a chance to clinch SECWest before IB.  It will be a while before that happens.

But probably we are going to have to beat all of these teams each year to be sure of getting to SECCG.

Not sure all these teams can be in the top 20 with everyone beating each other.
