So Gilly comes down here to play golf because it's too cold in Louisville. It's cold with an on and off rain and he starts complaining. I said. "Dude! you left 9 degree weather, this has to be like the Bahamas compared to that. He saw no humor in that. He also saw no humor in the fact that he shot a 95 and I shot an 84.

Yeah, I rubbed it in. Prolly should feel guilty.

I'd take either score for our total against Clemson.

Y'all can have those scores if I can have warmer temps... It's 28 degrees here already and the sun hasn't set fully yet...

It's game day, and it's VERY COLD (14 degrees here and dropping; low of 4 tonight).
Ice cube

Snow flurries are reported in Memphis, but not here yet.  Not supposed to be an issue, but the cold certainly is!  Just hope those without good heat/insulation are okay.  I heard from a friend last night that their drain pipes were frozen, and their washing machine flooded the house.  Ugh.

Enjoy the games today, and get ready for a fun game tonight.  Woot!

That's way too cold for the south, Chech. It's 26 degrees here in P'cola. That's really cold for here. I hope the game warms us up tonight.

Good morning folks.  It is 14 degrees here right now and I don't like it!  I bet Preacher is in deep hibernation this morning...

It was 8 degrees here in Hendersonville when I got up this morning.  Warmed up to 12 now. I think I'll stay in today.

Happy New Year to you  all.

Well good morning everybody. the weather dot com site says it is 21 here and feels like 10. We left our water running and turned the heat lamps on in the pump house on our pump. Water didn't freeze but when I got up to light the stove this morning for heat the match had to be struck several times I guess it was froze!!!! Well we need some cold each winter and I guess this week is ours.
Wanted to say Happy New Year today to everybody and be safe. RTR!

Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

I'm chomping nails.  My wife doesn't understand football.

LF got a jewelry rack from her sister for Christmas.  So she asked if I would hang it for her during the Boog and LSU halftimes.  The rack was made in CHINA, came with drywall mounts/screws, so should have been easy.  BUT, the screws were far too big for the mounts, and trying to use them stripped the wall hole.  CHINA!!  So I went into the garage and got my own drywall mounts, and hung it for her.  "Is that hole too big?" she asked.

This made in China stuff really gives me a headache, especially anything requiring tools.   Stars

Not sure where our HVAC was made, Maytag so probably not China.  I was dubious when wife/contractor recommended it, but it had a great warranty, all parts 12 years.  The contractor who sold it is now out of business -- at least he did a major repair under warranty 4-5 years ago, replacing the most obviously defective parts.  But with the cold weather coming in, the thing died Friday night, and we were keeping warm with the fireplace.

Fortunately I found an honest country boy (Joe) two years ago who was starting his own HVAC business, called him Saturday morning, and he was here in about 30 minutes.
