That young woman that Coach Bryant hired to lead the gymnastics program has now past him as the University's coach with the most championships.

Hold your hat...was going by what I saw on another site, but the NCAA website shows Bama and Florida tied for 1st.

Sorry...so excited I didn't confirm it.  Looks like we actually finished 4th after a VERY poor final rotation on the beam.  So bad we had to count a score with a fall.

I watched the end of it on ESPN3 last night. The announcers were talking like we had nailed the first three rotations and were the team to beat. We had a decent lead going into the the final rotation. It is always a disadvantage to be on the beam last. That is where most teams get their lowest score. We had two falls and could only drop one score. It was our meet to win and we blew it on the beam.

I would rather be there and lose than not be there at all. Congrats to the girls on a good year. They were close but game up just a little short.
