Title: Picking against the Crimson Tide
Post by: BAMAWV on March 12, 2011, 05:36:03 AM
In the SEC Tourney discussion I picked the Tide to lose to the Dawgs. I was wrong, on several levels. My basic premise in picking the Tide to lose, was that our team does not play well away from Coleman Coliseum. I also felt beating the same team, particularly one as talented as UGA, twice in one week's time presented its own difficulties.

What I failed to take into account was the ring of Denny Chimes in the hearts of our players. The "pluck and grit" which has become legendary in Bama athletics and a staple for the 2010/2011 edition of the Crimson Tide basketball team.

I sincerely apologize to all of you subjected to my lack of faith. There is no room for  the BAMAWV nay sayers in this years SEC title run. Our team has proven repeatedly, that the ghosts of Crimson Tiders past are looking down favorably from Bama heaven and have a place in the hearts of our team. BTW, I like UK today.

[hand on your shoulder]
"It's okay, buddy.  We all make mistakes.  Yours was just bigger and more stupid than most."  :jump:

Apology almost accepted but we cannot live with your KY pick. You need to buy into the process. It also helps to pray, cross your fingers, wear your lucky hat, etc.

Bama rolls today 72-65.

I agree. Bama takes KY today.  I can't believe you (BAMAWV) didn't learn your lesson yesterday :)

In the SEC tournament so far, there has been one win each day by a team from the West.  So, I'm looking for that trend to continue for two more days.

Alabama is the only west team left, so of course it's a win.

Tomorrow night could be huge for our program and gratifying to a team that has played their hearts out. Or not.

Well all I am waiting for is the NCAA Selection show tomorrow night. I think we end up in the West with a 14 or 13 seed. I will accept that. RTR!

I think we will make it but I expect us to be in a play in game.

The play in games this year put the highest seeded automatic qualifiers against the last 4 at large.

That would be a great game for our team. If we are playing some high seeded. RTR!
