I was in the stadium again this week, but not able to see much of the game. Obviously Tua and Smith had big days. I know Ole Miss’ first TD came after a fumbled punt return, how’d they get 24 more points? Was the D really that bad?

They got 3 points two years ago, 7 last year and then this whopping total. The defense has to get real tough before we visit the loneliest village on the plains.

There were chicken sandwich wrappers all over the field, and the D was slipping on them.   Wink

One of the primary issues was our nose guard got beaten all day.  DJ Dale played injured, but he played.  The coaches seemed to have tried substitutions, but that led to confusion too.  The LBs faced a new offensive set during the first quarter (including 2 TEs in the backfield at times), which they finally adjusted to.  And the Ole Miss QB was lightning fast, getting outside numerous times by outracing linemen and LBs.  The guy is a talent!
