I going to Oxford tonight for a HS football game. I am picking up my Uncle in Pell City and we are meeting my cousin at a place called Jefferson's. They said it is like Buffalo Wild Wings. I have never eaten there but they tell me it is good.

Be sure to wave as you drive by.

I will actually stop for a few minutes. My Uncle lives on the lake. I will pick him and head on to Oxford. I will be back in Pell City for a football game sometime in October.

If you guys decide to get drunk go to my sisters bar on hwy 78.

MSU needs a sustained drive now to give their D a rest. They're gassed.

Howdy, Merk.

MSU needs a TD return on the kickoff.  Otherwise I don't see it.

Don't want to highjack the thread but have
you tried the Classic in Anniston. Took my Mom
there when we were in last and was
impressed.

Howdy back, Chech..

Yeah, it's not looking good for the boys red tonight.
By the way, sounds like you had a good dinner this
evening.

Yeah, some new place pacle in Oxford.  Yummy.

Naw, I'm about 120 miles west near Oxford, MS (not Alabama).  It'd be a long hike to eat in Anniston.

Oh well. I lived in Oxford, Alabama for 13 years. Great town with good solid folks living there. Good place to raise a family, good school system, too.

Good to know, though.  We drive that way to NC occasionally.  That'd be a good pacle for a lunch stop.

Very good place to stop and eat and very safe, too. Everything is right there by the 2 Interstate exits. The have all kindss of places to eat. Name it, they got it. Shoney's (Breakfast bar), Logans, McDonalds, Krystals, Hardees, Garfields (restaurant), Western Sizzlin, IHOP, O'Charleys, Outback, Brad's Bar-B-Q (great stuf), and many more.

The only Starbucks within 50 miles is at that exit too.  So is beshears tractor, which is where I bought my tractor, I am actually heading there at about 10.

BUT Oxford/ Anniston has a pretty high crime rate compared to the rest of the state.

The Oxford crime rate is miniscule. Anniston has a sky high crime rate. I lived in Oxford 13 years and there were ZERO murders in all those years. Anniston, with a population of maybe 25,000 would have 10 murders a year, plus all kinds of aggravated assaults, rapes, armed robberies, etc. VERY violent town. It's like saying the Birmingham/Trussville crime rate is bad or the Birmingham/Mounain Brook crime rate is bad. Just because they touch city limits doesn't make them the same. By the way, I used to live 10 minutes from that tractor place. It's by the National Guard Armory and it sits on Hwy 21.

 Cheesy
