Bama leadoff hit gives us a good start.

Sacrifice-bunt attempt popped up for OUT #1.  We can't HIT!!

Next hitter hits to Groenwagon, but she throws wide to 2nd; runners safe.
Next hitter strikes out.  2 OUTS.
Next hitter strikes out also.

Lack of clutch hitting again. Looks like we'll have to depend on stellar pitching and good defense yet once more.

Hitter 3: solid hit to center.  First hard-hit ball by MN.  Runner stops at 1st base.
Hitter 4: diving catch in foul territory ends the inning.  Excellent catch!!

Yeah, and if we don't score a couple more runs in this game we may lose the regional.
MN could easily catch fire and win both games.

And I have a certificate for winning a spelling bee in 3rd grade!

Hitter 2: solid hit to left field.  Stops at 1st base.
Hitter 3: With a 3-2 count she WALKS.  Runners on 1st and 2nd.  1 OUT.

THIS IS A CRITICAL TIME FOR BAMA.  AND OSORIO COMES IN TO PITCH FOR BAMA.

Can we hold on to a 1-0 lead against a team that is ~ 56-4 this year, and advertised as one of the best hitting teams in the USA (averaging 7 1/2 runs per game)??

OSORIO ready to pitch for Alabama.

Hitter 1: pops out to shortstop.  ONE OUT.
Hitter 2 (Groenewegen): strikes out on a 3-2 count.  TWO OUTS.
Hitter 3 (Wagner): strikes out!!

Bama goes to the super regional!!

13 straight now.

Groenewegen pitched well.  Not well enough.

Osorio does the job! Bama wins 1-0 and moves on to the Super Regional. WOOOT!!!!
