I'm all for it. AT least we were winning some then. He just had a couple bad years and we run him off. Everybody else we give 5 or 6 years before we do that. RTR!

CAJ is still working with a mix of his own recruits and Grant's recruits. Let's not forget that he has the #2 recruiting class in the nation coming in next year. It's way too early to be writing him off.

He was at Bama over 10 years, never won an SEC Tourney title, recruited well but never developed the players and then they left early, we could not play defense, was 83-82 in conference play, and the last 3 years were not pretty. Plus, he couldn't keep his pants zipped up. Other than all that, he was a good coach.

Yeah, way too early to start talking about another coach, even though I think everyone was kidding (I hope). Grant left nothing in his wake except a bunch of undeveloped players and no real energy n the program.

We need one "go to" guy who is a scorer. We do not have anyone that can break a scoring drought or get the critical basket at the end of the game. No one on the team looks to catch and shoot like a true scorer does. We do not have anyone on the team scoring in double figures

I am happy we played well against Arkansas St but they were a small team we should beat. It will be much more difficult in conference play. Wimp keeps saying CAJ needs to limit the rotation to 7 maybe 8 guys. I agree with that.We have too many players coming in and out of the game that are not contributing.

I was expecting improvement in year two but so far it has been disappointing. I hope we get it turn around in league play.

I wonder if he is doing this for experience and to see what group plays best together? RTR!

I think CAJ is still trying to find a line-up that works. Who should be the starters, who's the first guy off the bench? It's still a work-in-progress. The one's who stick out as possible starters to me are: Ingram, Key, Collins, & maybe Hall. Not real sure if Hall is a starting material, though. Taylor has been looking good in a couple of games.

I do not think there is any doubt that is what he is doing. I think you have to play Hall and Taylor. We need the height and rim protection and it will take them both. Norris, Key and King (when healthy) at forwards. Ingram, Collins and Johnson JR at guards. That is an 8 man rotation. That leaves Hale, Bola, Davis and Austin on the bench. Each of those guys are getting playing time and rarely productive.

Reasons why Shannon Hale should be benched:

1. He is 6-8 235 but does not play physical.
2. He is lazy.
3. He averages 1.5 rebound a game which is equal to his turnover avg.
4. He has taken 31 3pt shots and only 28 2pt shots. He is 8-31 from 3pt line for .258%.
5. He is a senior and had his chance. We need to develop a young player such as Key.

Apparently, Bruce Pearl has found a good combination with the Awbren team. They are 10-2 with back-to-back wins over Oklahoma and UConn on the road. I'm hoping they are peaking too early, and we haven't hit our stride yet.

The barn has won some close games against big name teams that are not playing well. They barely beat 3-7 Mercer. Oklahoma is 6-5 and UConn is 4-5.

FWIW the barn SOS is 130 compared to our 65.
