This tweet from GMac settles it:

Seriously, I was a Sims doubter.  No more.  He had a great game today.  Always areas to improve but Sims is the man!

Also thought Coker did a great job coming in cold when Sims got hurt.  And that fade pass to AC was a big time touch throw.

Coker was huge. He came in when it was 28-21 and threw the TD pass. Sims looked very confident & solid.

Well Greg is honest and you don't see that in a sports person very often. Greg you are as good in the Tv as you was on the field. RTR!

As we all sat and watched Sims go down with an injury, I wondered what everyone thought. Personally I was a little afraid as Sims had done such a good job and the game was far from over and I didn't know if Coker come in cold and do the job. I think Coker came in though and did exactly what he was supposed to do, get the ball in the end zone and he did. That was pretty gutsy on his part and I think it gave him a lot of confidence, the one thing that he hadn't been able to get because of the teams that we had played. Florida wasn't a real good team but they played their hearts and gave Bama all that they wanted.

There were three things established in today's game, Bama can win when they don't play well, Sims is the starting QB, and Coker can do the job if needed. I was a little nervous when we fell behind, I didn't know how the team, especially Sims, would react but you would have thought he had been there and done that before. Sure there is room for all kinds of improvement across the team, but I think some of them grew up a little today and  I look for better performances from all of them in the games ahead. Roll Tide!!

Florida is very average, might go 6-6 this year or 7-5. The big test from this game was our 4 turnovers and how we overcame them. If WVA beats Oklahoma, that will be an indicator of how good the Tide is.
