Good, informative article. Coach Goodwin comes off like a real creep. I wonder if most Homewood players will suddenly be going to Auburn?

Something is not right with this story.  All the folks around Brent come across as credable.  Yet there is this Lee character making all sorts of charges and rumor (from another board) that more will come out in Opelika tomorrow.

Unless Lee has some real evidence, seems like he could be sued for slander even though he never has named any individuals, i.e. he could be sued and even if he is ultimately found innocent, he would be forced to defend himself.

Well I wonder now if Homewood will take a 2nd look at hiring of this guy. He is a crude guy if you ask me. He needs to get in church quick. lol, guess I am trying to hope for some good out of him. RTR!

out of all the allegations Lee made this is the only one he got right ?
and on it he wasn't even sure that Florida was where they went  ?
Quote
The only part of the accusations made by Lee that both men confirmed were true was the fact that Woodruff took Calloway on a business trip with him to Florida on the weekend before Calloway was set to sign his national letter of intent.

this guy Lee and this Coach Goodwin are two real pieces of work
they will get away with this but wouldn't it be great if
somebody with some authority , ncaa/sec whomever , a police detective or
the attorney general  maybe ,  somebody !  were to reel these two in !

Goodwin almost giving Brent a nervous breakdown ? talking to Brent's dad like a pos too ?
Homewood is crazy if they hire this guy !
Quote
Brent was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and Peaches didn’t want Brent coming back to school and having to hear from Coach Goodwin,” Woodruff said. “Goodwin was angry that Brent went on a visit to Alabama that weekend. I think that was a pretty decisive moment because Brent heard the way Goodwin was talking to Peaches.

Some reporter needs to dig into this.

It sounds like there is some money that was about to exchange hands in this deal if he goes to Auburn. Just my feeling with the way they acted. Nobody gets upset anymore unless money is involved. RTR!

Exactly, this is what I have said all along. There was some money involved, maybe not paid since he went to Bama but would have been paid had he stayed with the Barn.

There's a disconnect in this story.  It's the timing.

Some have suggested that Goodwin was promised a position with the Aubs for delivering Brent.  But Goodwin accepted the Homewood job while Brent was still committed to the Aubs.

Money promised?  Not likely.

Goodwin is just an Aub with bruised ego.

Questionable accusations, doesen't have the cojones to get on the only real sports talk station in the state and face tough questions,  a conjoured up deflection to their own problems.
A word of advice to all, if your going to throw a punch but a little a$$ behind it and make it count.

Through my dealing with Goodwin, I can tell you he is a real piece of work.
