1. The "experiment" involving ArDarius Stewart at safety appears to have ended. Stewart, after two practices with the defense, was back with the wide receivers.

2. There was no sign of DeAndrew White. He's recovering from some kind of surgery and has yet to practice. Safe to say at this point that his status for A-Day is in question.

3. Saw Dillon Lee leading the outside linebackers through drills in one period and working with the inside linebackers in another. He's been groomed for versatility over the past couple of years.

4. Watched Alabama go through its nickel defense for a little bit. Landon Collins and Nick Perry were working as the safeties, Jarrick Williams was at Star and a mix of Bradley Sylve, Cyrus Jones, Eddie Jackson and Tony Brown at the cornerback spots...

Good summary of players and practice setup.

Nick Saban likes what he's seeing from Alabama linebacker Dillon Lee
He had 16 tackles and a touchdown during his sophomore year.

Safety Collins key to Alabama secondary
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- “It’s not like we don’t have anybody at the position,” Alabama coach Nick Saban told a group of reporters prior to the start of spring practice earlier this month, running down the list of questions he had for his team before arriving at the safety position.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is gone at free safety. Vinnie Sunseri is gone at strong safety. Mark Barron has been around the practice facility training lately, but his eligibility ran out long ago, not to mention the pay is decent in the NFL.

There is no OFFICIAL depth chart. CNS has a "double secret" depth chart locked in a safe, 1,000 feet below his office, in a pit with venomous snakes. Or it could be at home with Mrs. Terry. I am not sure which would be scarier to try to confront.

"So far this spring, he's been phenomenal in the offseason program as well as in the first three practices that we've had," Saban said Wednesday. "Obviously he's a guy that we want to get the ball to as many times as we can. Lane will do a really good job of getting the ball in the playmakers' hands. ...

Hopefully we'll see Amari at his full potential this year.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

For context, this would have been the second fastest time at this year's NFL Combine.  According to Wikipedia, only 17 people have run 4.30 or better at the combine since they began using electronic timing equipment.

Hopefully you will time him at 4.31 again this season.
