Morning Everyone. Coffee

After a very busy and productive Saturday the coffee tastes pretty good this morning. I truly received a wonderful blessing yesterday as I thought I would get rid of some of my Springtime chores. I had not checked my boat in quite a long time as most of my fishing trips are close to home and me being lazy about cost me some big dollars. I checked my wheel bearings, visually, and what a surprise I got. I have bearing buddies which you can give each wheel a shot grease periodically and assume everything is okay. I have tandem axles so I pulled one of the wheels off yesterday and the bearings were actually starting to come apart. I thought no problem just go to the auto parts place and get new bearings. I got 4 sets of bearings and replaced them but then realized the inner bearing seal did not fit the hub. I go back to the auto parts store and they do not have a seal that will fit and none of the other stores did either. So I come home and get on the internet and try to find the trailer company that made the trailer, this trailer is twenty years old and had no luck. I go back to the trailer and luckily there is a sticker on the trailer from the company that made the axles. Bingo, I found the info I needed and the new seals are being shipped in the next 7 days. There was no damage to the axels from the bad bearings which is a lucky break for me, axels don't come cheap. Anyway, the boat is idle for a few days but I was very lucky I wasn't on a fishing trip and the wheel had come loose from the bearings going bad, that has happened to me on a couple of trips already. If there is a lesson to be learned, don't trust the Bearing Buddies and pull the wheels off and do the visuals, the visuals don't lie.

I was so releaved to get the parts for the trailer that I then went out and removed some fencing that we don't need anymore since the horses are now gone. It was one more thing to get done that will provide more fishing time in the days ahead. Wink

Have a good day everyone. Pray Cheesy

Good morning folks.  We had a storm blow through here early this morning with some very hard rain.  It didn't last very long at all though but it did bring cooler temps to leave behind.  We have a beautiful morning dawning out now.  Would love to be either on the lake or on the beach making fishes jaws sore...

I do indeed hope to come down there one weekend in April or possibly early May.  I know for sure though that it won't be either the 22nd or 29th of April though.  Everyone knows what the 22nd holds.  Two of my kids share their birthdays on the 29th so I'll have to be around to do that.  Then the weekend of May 6 is just after Mrs. Nalt's birthday so I'll have to be around for that too.  But I am determined to make a trip down to do some fishing... Angry

 Laughing Laughing Laughing E-cred.

Sorry, I had to wash my nether parts so's not to offend the doctor this morning.

May will be a tough month for me as far as surf fishing goes. I have my annual MB golf trip April 30-May4, then I've got to prepare to move to SC. Mrs 2 and I are going to San Antonio April 13-18 and A Day is April 22. So pickens' are slim with me, unfortunately.

I had forgotten about this. Sad

J, I'm glad you checked those bearings. That was indeed, a blessing.

Yes, I do have to move to SC for a few years, but I'll be taking plenty of long weekends to spend here in P'cola. Y'all can't get rid of me that easily.  Cheesy

Good morning folks.  Yesterday was absolutely beautiful.  I helped get the attic cleaned out as well as getting rid of an old up-right freezer and a refrigerator that Dad just doesn't need.  We set them on the side of the road and within 2-1/2 hours someone (junk man) had came by and picked them up... I managed to get the grass mowed at church and then over at Dad's too so I think I'm free today to do anything I want, or nothing at all...

Good morning.  Coffee

At least some of YOU GUYS were productive yesterday.  Jamos got the bearings fixed, and NALT got his chores done.  I just lounged around the house tying up a few pompano rigs and doing some Ebay listings.

What a couple of basketball games last night!  I thought LF was going to stroke out at the end of the UNC game.  UNC tried to give the game away!!

Severe weather coming through here about dark tonight.  Already tornadoes in Texas!

 Sad

That weather looks nasty our there.  Let's hope that it heads north and misses us altogether...

Unfortunately it's expected right here.  At least we get a beautiful day otherwise.
