Two of the biggest idgets in all of college football. Gary Danielson is only slightly less ignorant than Verne, and listening to these 2 call a game is painful. I pray daily that they will retire soon and CBS can bring in someone who knows more about football than these 2 morons. I hate when Alabama games are on CBS.

I will mute the sound and listen to Eli on radio..I can't stand either one of those pukes.

Hey, even the WKU game sounded good when Eli called it.

At least the radio is good these days.  Back when Alabama won the NC and went undefeated during 1979, the radio broadcast connections were terrible.  There were 3 different instances of the radio broadcast coming back from commercials LATE; so late that Alabama had scored a touchdown during the interim.  I bought a cassette tape of that year's highlights, and even those included the errors.   :wall:

When I try to bring in Eli while watching the game on Directv HD, the tv & radio are not in sync. The tv has a delay.

Wish there was a way to get Eli out here in Texas.  :-\

That would happen with cable HD too.  Best bet to be insync is broadcast.

It varies with each game.  During the Michigan game I had a 5-sec delay on TV, but during WKU they were almost exactly in sync.  It likely depends on the network.

Still better than listening to G & V.

Computer.  Several channels stream it.

I have not figured out a way around that yet.  I need a way to pause live radio so I can give the TV 5 seconds to catch up.  I hate hearing what the play is going to be before I can see it on TV.

If it's a bother, turn down Eli until something you REALLY want to hear about occurs, then turn him up (such as each of those 5 TD passes against Arky).  It's like Instant-Eli Replay.

Well another season of plick and plack. These guys have to be under payed. It seems they are the only two announcers CBS can get. RTR!

Vern and Gary are 1 of the 2 best announcing teams in CF! Eli is just plain awful.

OK, I finally have a FREE solution.  You just download VLC player, which is a free media player.  Then tune it to your favorite internet radio station.  Then go to the track synchronization window, where you can adjust how many seconds you want for the delay.  I have it working with a country station out of Scottsboro that supposedly carries the games on Saturday, and I can confirm that the delay feature works as advertised.  You can adjust the delay in 1/2 second increments by clicking the little arrow buttons.  I have it set for 5 seconds right now, but when the game starts you can fine tune it and get it exactly right.

I am ready for game day!

The software was a little quirky to figure out, but once you get it going it works great.  I will try to put together some detailed step by step instructions on how to get this setup later today.  But here are some links to get you started if you want to tinker with it.  You can probably get it going without too much trouble.

Just go to the "Open Network" command and put in that address, then you should be able to play the radio station.  Once you have it playing, find the Track Synchronization menu command and adjust the delay.

Thanks for that SC. Even though Eli sometimes annoys me by not telling down and distance enough, it is MUCH better than listening to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (and I get the biased Bama coverage that I want   :P  )

I'm not sure what Maryland's laws are regarding this, but I suggest you study the book before you take the test at your new DMV. I hope this helps you.
