Headed to the game and I hope we are mentally ready. Bama has got to have all three games to get the first round bye in the SEC tournament. RTR!!!

Bama beat the Dogs 7-2 and it was a big win for the ladies. It's never easy playing Georgia but overall the ladies did a good job.

Hard to believe Bama is ranked so high nationally, but is about a 4th seed in the tournament.  They need this sweep!

Great start for the ladies. If they can keep their bats alive, they should sweep the series.

There's not much difference in the teams of the top four of the SEC. The SEC is the very dominate conference is college softball this year with about 6-8 teams that are very capable of making it to Oklahoma City if they were spread out in different brackets in post season play to where they didn't beat each other out.

Big night for McCleney. She joins Kelly Kretschman, Brittany Rogers, and Kayla Braud in the 300/200/100 club.

Quote
McCleney is the fourth player in program history and just the 21st in NCAA history with 300 career hits, 200 runs and 100 stolen bases.

Bama ladies put up a great 6th inning coming from a 7-1 deficit to go up 9-7. Just need solid defense in the top of the 7th and with 2 pop fly outs to left field it is definitely looking better...

For those of you that missed seeing the game on tv, you missed a classic. As NALT stated in his post, the ladies gave up seven runs in one inning to give Georgia the lead and Bama came right back with eight of their own to retake the lead and win the game. Osorio gave up a grand slam in the seven run inning and Murph never replaced her, she finished the game and got the win. What a team effort this game was because every player played a big role in the comeback and oh did Bama ever need a game like this, right before tournament time. Osorio hasn't been herself this year due to injuries and time off but I'm anxious to now see how she responds moving forward, this game has to give her some spunk and it couldn't happen at a better time.

Tomorrow is the finale of the series with Georgia and the regular season. It would be nice to sweep Coach Lou and her Bulldogs heading into post season play. Tonight Bama has their senior banquet and it should be a very happy occasion for the players and coaches after what happened today.

Bama dug themselves in another hole today with lackluster pitching and less than that defense. Yesterday's game seemed to have drained the ladies because today there wasn't much player energy as Georgia jumped out to a 9-1 lead that Bama eventually cut back for a 9-5 loss.

This loss puts Bama as a 5 seed in the SEC tournament and they will open play against Miss State at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday. Had they won today, they would have played on Thursday instead. Had Auburn and Tennessee been able to play their 3rd game last weekend Bama would have been a 4 seed becuase one of them would have had one more loss than Bama.

Bama had over 3,700 fans in attendance today that gave the team an average of over 3,000 per game for the season. I think this puts Bama as the #1 team in the country for average attendance this year.

Not a good day for Bama sports as Auburn stomped us in baseball also.  Sad
