All Bama has to do is take care of their business and not worry about anything else at this point.  We are in PRIME position in the polls IMO at #7.  Ohio State still has to play Michigan State which will eliminate one of them.  TCU and Baylor still have to meet which will eliminate one of those two.  Bama plays LSU in two weeks which should put us at #4 in the polls which should ensure us a position in the NCAA playoffs again this year... As I said, as long as we take care of position we should be golden...

I'm afraid if Omiss doesn't lose again we'll be sitting out this year.

Ole Miss played well last night ... against a tired, weary, beat-up bunch of Aggies who had a QB with one wing.

But, Ole Miss played an inspired game; first since they beat us.

Here again I have to agree Chechem. I really thought if TA&M had played against OM as well as they played against us they would blow out OM. I see they didn't so I do think MSU or LSU or both will get them later. RTR!

I am 90% with you on this, accept I am less sanguine about affairs in the big10. Because MSUn and tOSU are both in the top 4, the loser might not fall out of the top 4. Now if Mich and MSUn both beat OSU, then OSU is definitely out.

Also, there are 1-loss and 0-loss teams right around us (OkSt Domers, Stanford) that will have a chance to impress in the home stretch too.

At this point, no one we have beat is ranked. The only game the rankings help us with is the quality loss to OleMiss. Ironically, we need them to both lose and win. But we need them to lose more so we can chalk a SECCG win over a ranked UF.

All this assumes we win out and if we don't of course none of this matters one little bit.

Exactly.  Ohio State's schedule is so poor that they shouldn't be ranked at all.  Duke has played a tougher one!

Hopefully the football committee will grow a pair (well, Condoleezza excused).

Oklahoma could be a factor if they run the table against TCU, Baylor, and OSU.

Oklahoma could be a factor if they run the table against TCU, Baylor, and OSU.

Even if the Okies do us that favor, surely we'd be ranked up there ahead of them after we win the SEC.  Only way we get left out is if we lose again, or if a whole bunch of teams remain undefeated.

Memphis will rank ahead of Okla by year's end.
