Good morning everyone.  Yesterday was an extremely wonderful day indeed.  The kids and I made it to T-town and enjoyed the afternoon with Jamos and his better half, Chech, 2, and Red Elephant.  Thanks again to Jamos for hosting the tailgate.  Great food, great times and extra great friends.  We finally made it home last night around 9:30 after what seemed like a verrrrry looonng trip.  I thought a couple of times about pulling over and getting a 30 minute nap but I pushed through.  I'm already looking forward to the next trip down there for a game regardless of the sport.  Hopefully 2 and Chech have safe trips back home.  Don't hurt yourself working on that deck Chech...

Good morning. Coffee

Jamos was a wonderful host yesterday, as was Mrs Jamos. They set up early with the grill and fed us burgers and much more.

Indeed it was a great day. I wore out by the evening and slept like a baby. Thanks to Red Elephant for hosting my stay.

Heading home this morning to finish work on the deck. I'll post pics when home.

 Kiss

Glad you finally got some quality sleep.

Sorry I missed everyone at the tailgate yesterday. It sounds like you had a good time and Jamos is always a great host. I had a busy day planned and just ran out of time and got there late.

Our parking pass was at East ten Hoor. We hiked over to Coleman for the Tide Pride luncheon. We missed most of AD Greg Byrne but got there in time For Coach Saban. He spoke for about 15 minutes and then took questions. He likes the 16 true freshman that enrolled early. We saw why later in the day. He said many of them will play and add depth to the team. He did not call any by name. He talked about the redshirt process. He said that is mostly used for offensive linemen now. The OL takes longer to learn and players have to develop physically and mentally to play that position. Most players never see their 5th year so we do not redshirt a guy just because he is not a starter. He talked about the NFL draft. He was asked after he retired would he stay in Tuscaloosa. Without hesitation he said yes. He said Ms. Terry has no intentions of moving.

It was the best A Day game I have attended. Plenty of action. Tua game out on fire. He has a strong arm and a lot of confidence. Too much confidence at times. He is fun to watch. N Harris and J Jeudy stood out to me as future big time players. Hurts played a good game. Even with the "just touch the QB rule" he still had several good runs and looked improved as a passer. R Foster, C Ridley and the OL had good games. The tight ends were very involved and that is good to see. Scott looked good punting and OK as PK. We need the kicker who will enroll in May to be a stud.

We had seats in a North End Zone Skybox which is always fun. Plenty of food and air conditioning. Overall a very good day. I feel much better about the FSU opener after seeing the team yesterday.

We made it home safe and sound. Rained on us off and on all the way home. It feels really good to be on my couch.

I want to thank Mr and Mrs J for, once again, being fantastic hosts. The food and company were great yesterday. We really enjoyed visiting with J, Mrs J, Chech, NALT and his delightful 4 younguns, Red Elephant and his lovely wife. We really had a great time before, during and after the game. Got a pic or 2 to post later, myself. Sorry you couldn't make it to the tailgating, pmull. We were on the lookout for you.

The game, like pmull said, was the best yet. Man, do we have some offensive talent!!! I just hope it doesn't mean that the D is behind. Both Tua and Hurts looked very good and the receivers, along with, Najee Harris put on a show. CNS will be hard pressed not to start Najee at RB. He is already a beast.

Well, gotta unload from the trip. Hope everybody has a great day!

Got home by 10:30, then spent the rest of the day working on the deck.  We finished the upper deck, and got the decking pulled from the lower one.  Finished one set of steps.  I'm bushed!

Thanks again to all.  Here are some pics:

Jamos and Mrs J at the softball game Friday.

Our gang crowding into the elevator.

Warmup before the game.  We had great seats; west side up high in the shade.

Jamos can find a restaurant!!  This pacle had great food.  But... it was much like a Turkish opium den.  Here's one table of our gang with a hookah!!

This guy followed us around all day.  Sat alone, big Tua fan, and talked about his golf skills.

We had fun.  Wish you could have all been there to enjoy the day!

Good morning.  Coffee

May have overdone a bit yesterday, but thanks to an ice pack and ibuprofen I'm moving and able again.  We start at 7AM on the deck.  Hope LF can sleep through the hammering!

I'm ready to get back into fishing.  Been 2 weeks!!  Next trip will likely be next week with Jamos!  Get the camera ready!!

Have a good day.  It's 48 degrees here - brrr!  But that works well for outdoor work.  Get out and enjoy it!

Mulberries are getting ripe.  I'm watching for the tanagers to find them!

Good morning folks.  I'm back to work this morning.  Yesterday I did a whole lot of NOTHING; and I liked it... I dozed all afternoon and thought I would pay the price by not being able to fall asleep when I went to bed at my normal time but I did.  Slept like a baby all night and then didn't even want to get up this morning.  Hope you all have a great day...

I know, Chech. I liked to have never shook that guy. What a loser!

NALT, I was a lazy bum myself yesterday. I felt like I had gone 15 rounds with the Hookah twins. But that would be a piece of cake compared to what I have in store today. I'll give you a hint: I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow.

 Sad

Y'all have a great Monday.

Ugh!  Sorry to hear that but I hope they don't find anything bad... Are they just doing the colonoscopy or will they also do an endoscopy as well?   Regardless, drink up... Lips Sealed

Just the colonoscopy and it's routine, so no worries. Just not looking forward to what today brings.

Good morning, CRS!  Coffee

Up early today, and hoping to finish putting down the decking.  Then it's only the railings and a bit of paint on the support posts.  This is a big deck!!

Best wishes this morning to 2, who is being reamed.  Unlike a brain scan, we're hoping they find NOTHING when they scan his azz!  Be strong, buddy.

Another beautiful day today, then thunderstorms tonight.  Make the most of the great weather.

Here's an anole that was climbing all over LF's amaryllis (lilies).  He tried brown, then green, but couldn't camouflage himself.

Here's the deck.  The upper deck is 60' x 13'.  The lower one is 14' x 13'.  LOTS of lumber and lots of bending, nailing, and prying.  Almost done!  As you see, we haven't done the rails yet.

I hate it when that happens.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'll be glad when it's all over.
