Title: Tide DC Leaving for NFL
Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 16, 2019, 07:24:04 PM
Here we go again. Freddie Kitchens wanted a Tide guy for company. Can't blame for going to the NFL.

Quote
The makeover of Alabama's coaching staff continues. According to multiple reports, Alabama defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi will be leaving to join the Cleveland Browns coaching staff, who recently hired former Alabama quarterback Freddie Kitchens to be their head coach. AL.com was the first to report that Lupoi had interviewed with the Browns and was expected to take the position, and The Athletic's Bruce Feldman reported that Lupoi would be joining Cleveland's staff as its defensive line coach.

He is leaving a championship team to go coach a basement team who is not going to win 3 games next year? This has got to be the dumbest decision I have ever heard. RTR!

Again, I say this: this continuing carousel of coaching changes at Bama is going to come back to haunt them eventually.

And that just further cements my opinion that any coaching change (hires) discussions/interviews should happen ONLY AFTER the NC game for any and all schools.  The NCAA needs to make this policy...

That kind of ruling would never hold up legally. People can pursue job openings at anytime.

"Employment at Will" is the technical term.  Or Alabama is a "Right to Work State."
