Right. No problem when an SEC team we play is ranked above us.

At this point in the season rankings mean nothing.  However, I am glad it happened.  It shows Bama two things.  One some people don't believe they are the best team in the SEC.  Second it shows they don't even believe they are the best team in the West.  With this being said now Bama can see they must go out and prove every week they deserve to be where they are no matter who the opponent.  The LSU/Bama game with take care of itself.   The players must learn that they will not be given a championship just because they are Alabama, they have to earn it each week.

I agree 100%. They are not entitled to anything.

I'm kinda glad to see LSU move into #2, although Bama could be back in that spot if they look good against PSU.  LSU certainly deserves that ranking after week 1 and their domination of Oregon.  If LSU sticks at #2, it puts the target on them, and gives the Bama players more incentive for improvement.

Nice to see the Barn and ND where they belong, outside looking in.

Looking back on week one I can see 3 major problems with this pole.
1. LSU should have went to #1 because of defeating a #3 team in the nation soundly.
2. Wisconsin is going to be a team to beat for a NC Trophy.
3. Okie St. should have been higher. They are going to stand between anybody in the Big 12 going to a BCS bowl game. They are good this year.
