Y'all are gonna give him the big head. Except for his woman. I'll bet she's still, "If I'd have married $%#@&%# I wouldn't have to live this way" or "It wouldn't kill you to pick up a little around here" or "You just stay in your office all day watching movies and posting on that stupid forum." -----Well, maybe the last one's just mine.

What good movies have you been watching in your office?

Since 2008 Coach Saban's Crimson Tide team has lost 5 games going 43-5.  Four of those losses have come from teams whose coaches have won National Chamiponships.

If he wins out this year and pushes the record to 50-5 in four years, and brings home #14 NC, he just maybe one of the two best coaches 'The Tide Crimson' has ever had.

HTH.

The other day, I watched a movie called Get Low with that old guy that was in Days of Thunder. I enjoyed that.

That's the guy. I like him and Reagan and Fred Thompson. Before someone starts pouting, Reagan made a football movie. I didn't think much of it, but I'm not Rex Reed.

I didn't know he was on The Gong Show. But I probably didn't see it much. The Rex Reed I'm thinking of was a movie critic. But aren't we all!

I don't think Cousin Fred has done any acting lately.  I was kinda sad that he didn't throw his hat into the election ring this time.

One day I was going to buy some CDs at a big chain Tapes and Records place in NYC. Some character with $4000 worth of (faux) bling stopped me at the door and said I would have to leave my attache case with him while I shopped. I refused and went on my way. But I couldn't help but wonder if the heightened security in the store had more to do with the guy at the door and his friends, than anything else.

I think one of the main points people are missing here is the scholarship limits Saban has to work under.   I agree Coach Bryant was one of the greatest, if not the greatest,  coaches of all times.  However, he was able to get the best players and give scholarship to other just so other teams could not sign them.  This also shows Coach Bryants impact on the young men knowing they were coming to a team where competition would be extremely hard to get playing time.  I think the same can be said for Saban's teams.

Good point.
