Pat Dye doesn't want Rice on selection committee

LOL! Remember, Coach Bryant talked Dye into becoming a coach and had him as an assistant for 9 years. Are you criticizing the judgement of Coach Bryant?


 

I don't think CB is criticizing Coach Bryant. I think it is a direct shot at MD. Sometimes I just don't understand what CB is thinking but this time I do.

ESPN just announced that the 13 members of this selection committee will
be announced in Dallas next Wednesday
they called them "The Unlucky 13"
go figure huh ?

Probably.

The push started from all the other conferences, because they weren't getting a team in the BCSCG as often as in the past -- especially after Bama played LSU.  It has been SEC v. VictimX for several years now.  When SEC teams (like Auburn) were being left out, the SEC suggested a playoff, but conferences like the Big12, which had a run with OK and TX, wouldn't hear of it.  The Big12 hasn't been in the game since 2009, the Big12 2007, the ACC 2000, the BigEast 2002.

The committee was supposed to be filled with football savy former coaches, etc., but it is looking way too political now.  I'm afraid the committee is going to look something like this:
