...Rose was ranked the No. 7 cornerback and No. 112 overall prospect in the nation in the 2011 class. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Rose was a U.S. Army All-American out of Leeds High School, ultimately signing with Auburn over Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee and a host of other schools. He enrolled early in January of 2011.

Rose played in nine games as a true freshman last season and recorded two tackles. Reports from spring practice were positive surrounding Rose's development....

The Aubs lost a good one.

Something is stinking in Auburn. I guess they forgot this when they were praising his character.

Phillips, Rose suspended

AUBURN – Auburn fullback Ladarious Phillips, a redshirt freshman from Roanoke, and Jonathan Rose, a freshman defensive back from Leeds, have been suspended for violation of team rules.

 Huh?

Something doesn't compute here.  If he was such a good kid in high school, then why did he get suspended for breaking team rules?  OK, immature maybe.  But then this?Huh??  Just adds to the growing list of 'smelly' events related to the Barn's FB team.

Could be as simple as weed.  Maybe failed the test twice.
Or could be much more sinister.  Maybe dissed the Toomers oaks.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. He probably ends up at JSU or UAB. Don't know if a major program would take a risk on him, unless he did something really minor, which I doubt.

Hmmmm.  Sounds like a 'lack of institutional control' down on The Plains. Perhaps an organization based in Indianpolis should think about taking a visit down that way.

And now yet another black eye for the Barn. This has been quite an offseason for them and there's still another month to go before the season starts. I'm not sure what their problem is but I think I have a pretty good idea.

This leads me to still wondering why any good recruit would want to go there in the first place if they are wanting a future in football. Just recently we all witnessed the Rueben Foster show and the first thing that crossed my mind was, will this kid even finish high school after leaving his high school and enrolling at Auburn High School. There's no doubt in my mind, he is enjoying a social life running with the AU football players and that is a great recipe of trouble for this young man.

I will give Auburn credit for having the skills to lure these recruits to come there, but I don't give them any credit for being able to keep them once they arrive. It's a shame to watch them ruin the careers of these young men.

Yeah, if I was the Barn I don't think I would be testing Mark Emmerts will to discipline since the PSU scandal, he might not be quite as friendly as he was with Scam Newton fiasco.
