Title: New Commodore 64
Post by: cbbama99 on May 07, 2011, 06:06:16 PM
Someone who is more computer savvy than I please tell me what the new C'dore 64 offers. I saw the picture of one today and it looks exactly like the old one, with the exception of a disc drive. I assume that televisions will again be used as monitors? And who thought of repackaging this?

Are you serious?  Link?

Also, this thread is useless without pictures.

Wow! for $595 it needs to be good. I would like one but being disabled it might be out of my price range. I'll have to trade my guitar for one maybe. lol. RTR!

Basically it is a modern computer in a retro looking keyboard case.  Not worth the price though, it is a gimmick for all of the old school computer nerds who had one as a kid.  I was too poor to pay the price back then, so I have no sentimental attachment.  A TRS 80 though, now that might be something.

:D

I couldn't afford one of those either but my cousin had one.  I wrote my first programs on that little jewel.

I remember a family member of mine had a 64 back in the day and I played on that one some. Back then, those games seemed like they were just the greatest things ever.
