Title: Hugh Freeze: Part II
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 07, 2017, 08:59:28 PM
We all knew his ending at Ole Miss was just the beginning.

Quote
Former Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt is not seeking any personal compensation from his lawsuit against the school, but instead wants $500,000 from Ole Miss to help fund a commission on integrity in Mississippi college sports, according to a lawsuit obtained by Yahoo! Sports.

Nutt is suing the school for defamation, alleging that the school ruined his reputation because his name was connected with an NCAA investigation, thus breaching his severance agreement.

And this missive to the sordid situation. Most of us expected this soap opera to eventually make everyone sick. Here is a tantalizing hint. Read link more.

“I really don’t believe that the firing of Hugh Freeze had very much to do with one misdialed phone call to an escort service,” Finebaum said on WJOX’s Opening Drive Monday. “If you had the whole truth, it had less to do with that and more to do with something else.”

Good luck with a lawsuit in state court in Mississippi.

Houston Nutt's lawsuit against Ole Miss and its board of trustees was dismissed in federal court Wednesday due to a lack of jurisdiction.

The former Rebels coach could re-file the case in state court.

Maybe Nutt can re-file in a state court in Starkville.

The tip of the iceberg is getting bigger.

Quote
Freeze resigned after phone records showed he called a number connected to a Tampa escort service. At a news conference announcing his resignation, AD Ross Bjork said after finding out about the call they also found “a pattern of personal misconduct inconsistent with the standards we expect” from the coach.

According to ESPN, Freeze made “at least” 12 calls to numbers connected with escort services on his school phone.
