"The game wasn't going to be won on offense. The key was holding LSU in check and minimizing mistakes. It was just a tremendous win."
Roanoke junior offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman, one of the first players to commit to the Crimson Tide for the 2013 recruiting class, also had strong praise for the defense's effort.
"It was the best defensive performance I have ever seen," Bozeman told BamaOnline. "It was a perfect performance to only allow LSU to cross the 50 yard line one time. I can't wait to get to Alabama and win another one. I think they will get #15 next season."
Perhaps even more crucial for the Tide were the reactions of prospects that have not yet committed to play for Alabama. Dayton, Ohio star Cameron Burrows, rated as one of the top defensive back prospects in the nation for the Class of 2013, said he was impressed with how hungry the Tide players looked during the game.
