Someone doctor this up and see if you can pick out what he's saying.

It sounds like he says something about $200K and MAYBE Auburn, and then you hear him talk to someone else in the room, followed by "he really wants to go there" and another dollar amount thrown out, which to me sounds like $150K.

I can't do much more work on it until tonight.

sounds like a message someone left on a voicemail because at the end he says "when you get this message, give me a call back"

I like it better with captions, like the FBI files on the news.

This needs a caption.

I believe that is photoshopped, there is no way that chair is holding that dude.

Sounds like someone called and got someone's voicemail. They were calling while in the shower it sounds like.

The only thing I could make out was when you get this message call me back.

This is an awfully long voicemail. I heard the call back part too. He is talking about money though. RTR!

Hope someone can get this cleaned up. Wish it had been cammy boy on the call.

I think his dad tried to keep his(Cam) voice out cause he knew what he was doing was wrong. I would say Cam knew what his father was doing. RTR!

Here are links to two cleaned up versions:

http://auburngate.com/files/Memo_cleanup5.mp3

It's still garbled in a lot of areas, though.

My guess is this:
The NCAA has 6 months after issuing a LOI (Letter of Inquiry) to submit the allegations of violations to the school.  Six months, in NCAA time, seems to not be very long at all.  I would think that if the NCAA's investigation takes them in multiple directions and/or states, then they would want to have the investigation pretty much wrapped up before the LOI is even sent.  If they have to investigate a whole lot of angles, then they're probably going to need more time than 6 months to make sure they have all of the issues thoroughly investigated.  So, my thinking is that they won't send out a LOI until they are convinced they are within 6 months of having their investigation mostly complete.

First I think they need to find out who at Auburn knew about this. Then move appropriately. They should have to pay for bidding on a college player than as rude as it gets. RTR!

Here is a transcript and link posted by our old friend dapado33 at Woolly Al (WA).

"Hey John this is Cecil. We wanna come up there but uh, it's not gonna be free. We got 2 offers now and uh, two hunned thousand, from auburn. He wants to play here so uh (hey shut up, we're all good, they'll remember that). Excuse me John, he really wants to go up there, so uh, we'll give him to you for 150, he needs to go with a fair price, I just don't wanna give to you this free mule you know. When you get this uh, gimme a call back."

Title: Just heard John Bond on the Zone

Don't have a link, but he said of the tapes, that he was sending another snippet to exonerate State.

I saw the post that he was coming up, but never got the listen live to load ...

Didnt he say something else about being done with the whole thing?

They all sound nuts.

Zone just played yesterday's radio interview:
1.  Said he did not manufacture the tapes.
2.  He said he wants them authenticated.
3.  Said they'll release them over time, bit at a time.
4.  Said he was incensed about being accused of faking or exaggerating the tapes.
5.  Repeated, "Aubs have much more to worry about than these tapes."
6.  Said, Perception is Cam was shopped, and 'why did NCAA make him sit for 1 day'.  If was enough there to make him sit, why not ban him as did with OSU players.

My take

It's a start of things to come for sure, the fact that this leaked (& it MAY NOT even be from Scott Moore/John Bond's tapes) tells you there is probably more

Also it is a positive ID on Cecil, I have a good HS Coach friend in Ga who knows Cecil, not personally but sort of at a distance (says he seems sleazy imagine that) and has been to his church a few times. I sent the cleaned up tape to him & he said that's definitely Cecil. Also interesting thing he said he knew it would eventually start coming out (like he knew more on it, so I asked) told me if everything comes out that HE heard that not just AU but Trooper would be FRIED, said there's way more to the deal than up front cash, there was an agent deal and a seemingly overnight boost to some construction business Cecil owns & loans signed off on by an AU booster (I'm assuming Lowder since he deals heavily in construction in that area) also said what was interesting was he had to drive across state lines to approve loans (& made me wonder if this was because it was approved through Colonial?? maybe dunno) but he said AU definitely sweetened the deal & Cecil got down & dirty with them, that's why he ended up at AU & not Miss St where $Cam really wanted to go. I don't know if these "TAPES" do or don't contain any of that but if they do, maybe that's why Moore has said before "Auburn has more to worry about" I dunno, but my friend told me that is DEFINITELY 100% him

yeah interesting thing is that Moore said last night I think that "I'll send you a little snippet that exonerates Mississippi State, myself, (MSU booster) Bill Bell"

now think about that, isnce $Cam went to AU what else could he have to exonerate all those parties if it wasnt telling what AU was gonna do or anything else etc. makes you wonder

I don't think this was leaked by Bond or Moore.  I think someone in the room while an original recording was played captured this with a cell phone.  I hope Bond/Moore have a clear original recording with more info than this.  On Auburngate somebody is claiming the 2nd person in the tape says "Dad, they know all that, don't go there."  If true, that would be AWESOME.  The tape is nothing without Cam in it.

yea MLB I saw somewhere else that Moore or Bond also said today on someone's radio show that this WAS NOT one of their tapes

Here's a link to an article on al.com about Bond's radio interview tonight:

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2011/03/bond_promises_snippet_of_recor.html

The tape that we've heard proves nothing.  It only furthers the notion that everyone already agrees on: that Cecil tried to get money from MSU.  That's it.

Barring something else, something that can conclusively show that Cam had knowledge of Cecil's shopping, then the tapes mean nothing.

This thread ought to be merged into my thread about the tape that was "released" today.  Good info here.

That was my thought, there was nothing on there we didnt know, unless that's supposed to be Cam in the background that he tells to shut up or whatever.
