Title: Computer problem question
Post by: 2Stater on October 18, 2015, 06:53:53 AM
My computer drops the internet every hour, on the hour. It's not the router, because there are other computers on it, and they don't lose the internet.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

I've never heard of that one.  I assume this is Windows?  What version?  It sounds like something amiss in the OS, maybe some sort of power saving setting.

Google it. There is all kinds of stuff about Windows 8 dropping internet connections.

Here is one link for you that might help. http://adamralph.com/2014/01/24/continuously-losing-internet-connectivity-in-windows-8-1/

Thanks pmull. I've given that a try. I'll find out if it worked at 10:00.
