I guess my $10 donation didn't do much good except maybe on the PR side to help get a different story out there in the news cycle.

Smitty, you should load up your tractor and go down there to help.  It sounds like they didn't dig deep enough when they replaced the soil.

Calling for a leaf whisperer, too funny.

I read an article that said that "scientists" were digging around the tree(s) and replacing soil. What kind of a scientist shovels dirt? Oh yeah...nevermind.

Should we contact sportsdame or tplaw to see if they want to represent Updyke?     :-\

I'm beginning to think that no one really knows for sure what exactly is going to happen to those dang trees. And I wish, for the love of all that is good and pure, that they would stop referring to Updyke as a Bama fan.  >:(

Auburn has a School of Agriculture and a School of Forestry. How come they cannot diagnose whether if the trees are dying or not? ???

The key word in that phrase is Auburn. I think that is your answer.

It also said they were waiting until the leaves got bigger (April) to test them.

It's easy to see why they don't have a medical school.

Ut-oh here we go with some dream trees again. Well I guess if your best course in college was Forestry then you would be mad about trees. RTR!

There will be a major news release about the trees tomorrow right before the HBO special airs.

The Barn has made some Bama fans look like total idiots for believing all of this, sure the trees are dying, just like everthing else.

QUITE EXCELLENT.  Between our team taking the game in NYC and the HBO show teasers, I don't think it can get much better.

A bit of SERIOUS.  My sister visited the Aubs last weekend.  She's no expert (on anything but childbirth), but she said, "Looks like the leaves on the oaks are curling."

"Curling?" I asked (men can't stay on task).

curling downward would indicated illness.  curling upward indicates lack of nutrients.

All they have to do is wash out the soil.  It'll be messy, but it'll clean it up.  Probably too late for the trees though.
