Title: SEC Football Coaches: Who Has The Hot Seat?
Post by: ssmith general on March 09, 2011, 07:21:55 PM
"The pressure for coaches to win is at an all time high. Fans expect new coaches to win immediately, while elder statesmen of the SEC are expected to maintain championship caliber teams year in and year out. Some of this is a result of recent history. Urban Meyer and Gene Chizik both won national championships in their second year as head coach. Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide went undefeated in the regular season during his second year in Tuscaloosa, and won a BCS title in his third. Les Miles won a national championship in his third year at LSU as well. As a result, fans of other SEC teams expect instant results from their coaches.

The pressure to win big in the SEC produces coaching casualties every season. So what coaches could get the axe in 2011? Below I have broken down the SEC coaching hot seat for 2011. The hot seat categories include: smoking hot , hot, medium, mild, and 100% safe."

The only one that I question is Dan Mullen, this is based on the Camron outcome. :o

I'm not sure UGA fans would agree that Richt's seat is smoking hot.  Living surrounded by them, I'm continuously amazed that they continue to use the "but he's a good man" justification for keeping him around.  Several have said to me if they don't win 8 or 9 games, then they'll think it might be time for him to go.

Well I would say Houston Nutt and Mark Richt. He Richt brought in the #1 RB and if he don't win his days are over. RTR!
