He was so disappointing. I think he had a druggie problem. I just don't see no reason he should have been down. He got all that moeny and couldn't play a lick. They kept him just to fill the roster. He went to LSU and let Les Miles coach him to nowhere. RTR!

I think all the money went to his head and he didn't feel like working for his money. He had his million-dollar-deal and he just didn't care.

Another e-cred for your work and other contributions.

JaMarcus Russell is another in a series of promising QBs with immense talent who failed in the NFL.
I hope Cam sees this.  I don't wish Cam ill will (well, maybe), but he could be headed the same direction.  There is lots of pressure on him.  He's just one crack party away from crash and burn.

You know, I just think the NFL is just too hard (mentally) for some of these QB's and they can't grasp the offenses or the opposing defenses. You just can't run on every other play, like in college. You can only take so many hits as a QB in the NFL. Plus, EVERYONE is fast in the NFL. You're not playing Vandy, UAB, Northwestern, N.C. State, etc.

The one that I have to give kudos to is Peyton Manning, because I didn't think he would make it in the NFL. He now is going to a HOF QB. Your are right it takes a mindset different from being a Mr. Football to being workhorse and film study person. RTR!

I think you are right. And I think that is why having a coach like CNS is a big plus in getting ready for the NFL.  He has the school's best interest AND the athlete's best interest at heart.

JR was going to Mobile and hanging out with the wrong crowd
parting all the time drinking lean and staying in the clubs thugin' it up .
it was all over town and most everyone knew it was just a matter of time before
the ka-pow hit him and he ended up in big trouble .

pretty sad really .. the guy did have a lot of talent
I witnessed him myself over at Ladd stadium do some crazy things with a football .
he could throw futher on his knees than a bunch of qb's could on their feet .

If it weren't such a waste of talent, and hadn't cost millions of dollars of investment, it'd be just sad. :'(

JaMarcus Russell had this problem long before the NFL.
