 Bryant-Denny Stadium
When Arkansas went in to Tuscaloosa last weekend a fired-up crowd was expected.

Earlier that week head Coach Nick Saban had asked on his radio show that the fans come ready to do their part.

They did and more.

Saying they were a loud crowd would be like saying the Crimson Tide shut down the Razorbacks’ running game.

It was one of the loudest football stadiums I’ve been in. Every time Tyler Wilson started his snap count Bryant-Denny exploded with noise.

It couldn’t have been louder if Bear Bryant had rode onto the field on an elephant.

Maybe hostile isn’t the right word, but it was definitely intimidating.

The first time I covered a game in Tuscaloosa it was nothing like this, but the expansions have made for one tough environment for visitors.
