They should have figured out it was a down year before they played Bama.  They already lost to Georgia and Ole Miss.  Their Defense is young, they lost a lot to the NFL....   Maybe they are just figuring out how dominant Bama has become.

You nailed it perfectly. They just lost too much talent at one time off their defense and they could not recuperate. I expect much more from them next year.

Remember the last time Bama lost a lot of defensive stars?  2010 season ring a bell?

Yes, they lost players, but Bama was short because of scholarship limitations, LSU has had no such limitations.

You don't think losing 10 starters on the best defense in the country affected the 2010 Tide team?

I do, but with the scholarship limitations Bama couldn't build depth for the next year.

I'm sorry, but if you lose 10 starters off defense and your forte is defense, you are going to suffer the next year, I don't care how much depth you have.

I seemed to me that LeSmiles, the coaches, players and fans really thought LSU was going to beat Bama.  After the first half they had to be feeling pretty good.  And then it all changed decisively.  Myles post game seemed to be in a daze; like the loss really hit him hard.

Yes your team will suffer.  But if you were able to build depth and have a full recruiting class it would not be as bad.

I agree.  He was very confident, and they had a good game plan.  But it all fell apart during the 2nd half.

Watch the video of him in the post-game interview.  I think it was posted yesterday morning.  He was subdued.  He took it hard.

It wasn't just that they lost, it was that from 2nd quarter on we pretty much did whatever we wanted on offense and mostly shut them down on defense.

I'm tellin you boys it's Urban all over again...wouldn't surprise me to see Leslie come down with a heart condition at the end of the year and then go coach Meechigan in the Big 10 where processed SEC coaches go to retire.
