This has been a wild game.  One thing is for sure, I'm glad that we don't have to see this ump behind the plate again.

Two less-than-prime pitchers going for the clubs tomorrow...surely we won't see more than 19 runs.

Well, if the Braves follow the Bobby Cox experience, they will fold by the 5th inning tomorrow.

There was that 18th inning loss to the Astros in game 4 of the 2005 NLDS.  Banging your head against the wall.

Honestly I've heard from so many of my friends (online and in-person) during this series and had such a good time talking baseball, I wish it hadn't turned out that we had to play in the first series.  I wish we all could've enjoyed at least two.  That's coming from a Braves hater too.

But, the Braves are far from finished.  I would like to give the Braves two compliments as well - trying to put together a rally in the 8th and 9th last night and forcing us to use more pitchers than we would've liked showed a lot of heart and COULD potentially be a factor tonight, particularly with out left-handed relievers.  My Dodgers would likely have rolled over and played dead down by 9 runs and allowed the opposing pitchers to breeze through without laboring.

Also, Evan Gattis has really impressed me with his ability to foul off pitches and make contact in general.  His eye for the strike zone...well, I will leave it as his ability to make contact.

Whoa! I think this might be good for the Braves. He is pitching on 3 days rest instead of 4 days, his normal routine. This could backfire on the Dodgers.

1st inning Heyward gets on with an error. Upton (with 27 homers) tries o bunt and pops to the pitcher. Freeman strikes out on nasty curve, and Gattis gets thrown out on a very good throw by 3rd baseman.
