She is in seond with a bunch of girls still to go. She had a 9.8625. It looked good to me. She stuck the landing.

I noticed something that I had forgotten about regarding the individual competition. They had to do 2 vaults and their score was averaged. In the team competition each person only does 1. So if you have 1 great vault that you can nail all the time and score 9.95, that doesn't necessarily mean that you will win the individual competition. You need a pretty good second vault to go with it to win. Both of the Alabama girls that I watched had a second vault that had an initial scoring value that was worth less than the 10.0 that you normally start with before deductions. I think that factored into it on the vault. Also I don't think either of them got the 9.95 today on the primary vault.

Geralen Stack-Eaton won the floor exercise. Kayla Hoffman came in second on the beam and Sarah DeMeo finished third on the bars.
