This is a lot of people to turn out on the sidewalks with no jobs. What does the Supreme Court think they will do with out jobs and money? I hope it doesn't turn out bad. RTR!

Very controversial issue. It is hard to believe they are releasing 46,000 inmates. California has needed to build prisons for years and they can not afford it.

Let me draw a comparison between this and the Mariel boatlift where Jimmy Carter allowed Castro to dump his prisons and mental hospitals onto the streets of Miami. I'll let you draw your own conclusions as to whether or not liberal policies are to blame. :-X

I looked at that too. It was pretty predicable.

California is so wrapped up in gang warfare they are only feeding the frenzy now with more coming from prison. I would think that all the illegals they have to let go, why not ship them back to their own borders again? RTR!

Critics of California's prison system contend the cells are so overrun with inmates that proper care has been obliterated. Kennedy cites examples of prisoners with mental or physical health needs having to wait months for inadequate care. He cites one example of an inmate who was held for nearly 24 hours in a cage and standing in a pool of his own urine. Others died while seeking medical attention that was seemingly delayed because of the backlog of cases.

The only difference between this and Obamacare, is that we have to pay to be treated like stray dogs.

The Canadian healthcare system works fine for sniffles or stitches. Anything more complicated requires a border crossing.

Maybe I am being naive here, but why cant free enterprise just take care of it?  Not sure how to do that ...

You mean prison over population? Yes, there are some states that have turned corrections over to privatization.  This is also may be the answer to education. Vouchers.

LoL, I was talking about healthcare, but I think we just proved the point.  It's pretty much the answer across the board.
