Morning all, Charter is oos so I'm using the phone. Things got a little scary for a while here last night as we were getting tornado warnings one after another. We were blessed as the tornado passed by us about a mile to the west of us. So far I know of one fatality in T-town. The lightning was horrendous for a while. Glad it is all over with.

Glad to hear from you, J.  Blessings!

An Alabama men's swimmer died while trying to rescue his girlfriend.

Glad to hear you're ok, Jamos.  I heard one side of Woodland Forrest got some damage.  (Not sure if you are in that area, but was thinking you may play golf there)

Checking in from Harvest, AL.  Tornado capital of North Alabama.

Harvest is like a tornado magnet. The tornado's seem to be on a direct line for Decatur but just before they get here they move North of the Tennessee River and hit Athens and head right into Harvest.

We have another front coming this afternoon. Stay safe.

That does seem to be the prevailing path.  The F4 in 2011 went about 1/4 mile south of me.  I had a lot of debris blown into my yard but no damage to my property.  I measured the width at 3/4 mile where it crossed my street.  I wasn't home when it hit, and ended up leaving my car about a mile away from my house and walking home through the damage that night.

The storm last night was on a similar path to 2011. In 2011 it went just North of us before heading into Madison County and Harvest. It hit Browns Ferry power plant which is just across the river from Decatur. We had no damage but we lost power for almost a week.

Man, I am really glad to see that everyone who was in the path of this stuff is OK. It appears all my kin in T-town are ok, as well, Praise God.

Silly me thought the bad weather was over. We are under a severe thunderstorm warning currently and conditions are getting bad. Looking at the radar, Tuscaloosa has some suspicious looking cells heading that way again.

J. what did you find out about Woodland Forest?

Cells are popping up all over again.  Hope you're okay down there.
There's a tornado warning near Starkville and just east of Raleigh, NC.

I drove through a very bad storm in Madison County, Fl coming home this morning, about 60 miles east of Tallahassee. I had to pull over as the worst of it passed. I'll be glad when this is over.

OK, it's time to get my mind off the weather, so I'll post some fishing pics. The fishing was great in the keys. Sport fishing is much tougher than deep sea fishing. The catch in many cases is much larger than what you haul up when deep sea fishing. Sunday, I hooked into about an 800 lb. Hammerhead Shark with heavy tackle. It literally nearly snatched me off the boat. I fought it about 10 minutes and it snapped the line with it's tail. Honestly, I was kinda glad as our gaff girl was a Miami Dolphins cheerleader, and I would have been embarrassed to have gotten my azz beat by that shark in front of her. She baited my hook all day and I caught a ton of fish. Coincidence? I don't think so.  Tongue

My 2 business partners and I chartered the boat and this is one of them getting his pole bent by a large Amberjack. He caught more fish, and the biggest fish, of the 3 of us.

We've had coolness and cloudy most of the day so I am praying that will keep the weather away from us tonight. RTR!

Here he is after catching the first of the 2 limit Permit. First time I've ever eaten Permit. It is absolutely delicious.

Our gaff girl and my baiter (clean those minds up). I am currently a Miami Dolphins fan!!!  Cheesy

A big ole grouper that Ricky Bobby (his fishing nickname) caught. He was let go.

A much lighter shark that I caught.

Looks like a Goliath Grouper (aka. Jewfish).
