Title: TR 10/1 in Vegas for Heisman
Post by: ssmith general on August 26, 2011, 09:22:17 AM

It’s not too often that a school can lose a former Heisman winner to the NFL and not miss a beat the following season, but that’s quite possible at Alabama this season. Mark Ingram, the Heisman winner two seasons ago, is now a New Orleans Saint, but Tide coach Nick Saban has arguably a more talented all-around back ready to carry the load in Trent Richardson. Can he become the second Alabama player to win college football’s top award? Richardson opened at 10/1 on Bodog Sportsbook’s NCAA football player props to do so.

If he stays healthy, I think he'll win it. That would be amazing, wouldn't it? 2 Heisman winners in 3 years and 2 NC's in 3 years?

Well I have to say I ain't worried about Auburn, they are they. I think TR can gain 2000 yds this year and will be the winner. Just my feeling. RTR!

I always thought "winning the Heisman" was a funny way to put it, like winning a beauty pageant.  I'm more interested in performance on the field, and winning games.  It will take a special season for TR to get the Heisman, as the past two have gone to players in the State of Alabama, and politics being as they are.  But wouldn't that be special.

Yes sir but what if he climbs around that 2000 yds. mark he has to be a top dog. The way CNS likes to run the ball, I wouldn't doubt him making it. RTR!

Wasn't Texas' running back Ricky Williams the last to run for over 2000 yards in college? I don't think Adrian Peterson had that many yards at Oklahoma.

TR brake 2000 yards this year.

Then Barry Sanders Jr. signs with Bama and set more records in a few years.
