slight out of the north, parallel.
Then w/o tacking you could sail straight out and back, maximizing the wind.

During the middle of the day, the wind (breeze) will drop off--dead air. Pick back up in later afternoon. At least that is how it goes in the Gulf.

Looked just like your picture.  It was hardcore. It was a decent sized little crab, he chased it down and crushed it with his bill for a while and then suddenly he swallowed it whole.  I felt like I was watching animal planet.
