TUSCALOOSA -- Four Alabama players were placed on the GoDaddy.com 2011 Preseason All-America Team announced Thursday. Alabama right guard Barrett Jones and strong safety Mark Barron were first-team selections. Alabama free safety Robert Lester was a second-team selection, and running back Trent Richardson was a third-team selection. Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower and center William Vlachos were named honorable mention.

TR is being underestimated.  I can't wait to watch him run the ball this fall.  He refuses to go down.  It takes the whole defense at times to get him down.  I keep having flash backs to that great run he had against Arkansas as a true freshman.

Oh Lord that run against Arkie was just super. Nobody could do that but maybe some of the very past RBs at Alabama. RTR!

I fully expect Robert Lester to be All SEC and All American. I think Hightower is even more likely to be All SEC and All American. Hightower is on a mission to show he is back and Lester just gets better every game and he's a big play guy.

Am I missing something here?  When did the GoDaddy.com pre-season All-Americans become elevated to any level of significance?   Is it the Danika Patrick effect or something?

Pre-Season stuff is all about whose name is already known and wild guesses.  Might as well consult an ouija board.
