the domers should no longer qualify for the bowl sub division or whatever they call division 1 now.

The only way I can explain Big10's obsession with the conf champ thing, is that they are really scared of the SEC. They seem unable to imagine that two of THEIR teams could be ranked in the top four.

Why should a #6 ranked conf champ get 'in' over a #2,3, or 4 non-conf champ?? It's not what the public wants. If you win your conf and you are still #6, it says something about the strength of your conf.

In a four team playoff...it's the rankings stupid!

If I understand correctly this is just one of many proposals being put up for consideration. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said recently that he would not support any proposal tied to conference champions.
