Title: What Tricks Will Barn Try In IB ?
Post by: McBaman on November 21, 2016, 09:20:13 AM
Perhaps their best hope for changing the course of the game is tricks/trick plays.  What would you be looking for?

Here's one: They frequently come out of a time out with about :05 secs left before the ball has to be snapped, run to the LOS and snap the ball before the D can think about the formation & personnel they have out there.

They also love to break the huddle, run up to the LOS and snap the ball quickly.

Maybe this stuff won't work.  Probably not. But it's their persona to try it.

What else?

I too think some quick Trick plays will happen but to me Coach Lashlee has been a more no nonsense type guy. He sets a game plan and runs it. I saw where when Malzahn quick calling plays auburn started their win streak. There may be a few but I think Lashlee is going to run at us and throw the deep ball if at all possible. RTR!

Going into the LSU game I was more worried about the Booger-eaters than the Corndogs.  Afterwards I have relaxed quite a bit.  I really think our 2nd and 3rd team players could probably beat them.  I think it will be competitive for the first half but after that our depth wears them down and we win going away.

As for tricks, I think their best chance would be to try and smuggle a combination of players from LSU, Clemson, Ohio State and Michigan in dressed as Auburn players...that too would fail...

Their trick is to not lose 98 to nothing.  They will not be able to pull it off though.

They will hire the bag man to lock the Bama locker room door from the outside, during halftime.

Too late.  It will be 49 to nothing by then, and they can't score 49 points against air with all of their QB's broken by then.

All of them!

Linemen down field on pass plays.

A reverse pass.

Their gadget Statue of Liberty play.

On side kick

Are you suggesting that the booger eaters would steal a play outta the Gators playbook?  :o

I believe they will run multiple trick play by the OL to take out as many DL ACLs as possible.
Of course that's standard plays for them so I don't know if you could consider it trick plays.  :tinfoil:

I wonder if Gerne & Vary will be attentive to any of this?

Hope CNS will talk to refs pregame about the linemen downfield issue.  They are sure to stretch the rules on this one.

Here's another one:  Some formation where they have two of their QBs in the backfield.  Could be the typical where one throws a long lateral to the other who then throws downfield.  Or could be where one hands off to the 'running' QB who pulls up and throws a pass.  Whatever...just look for two QBs to be in there on some plays.

In hind sight, one trick they tried was switching out the QB at random, to try and confuse Bama, and get a first down in the first half.  And.....it worked.

Whatever they tried to do didn't work. One thing that might work if they switch out coaches next time that might work. RTR!

They tried the "break the huddle close to the line and quick snap" a few times but our D was always ready for it.  And they burned our DBs on the one flea flicker play.

I hope they don't change coached for a looooong time.  I like the way things are going just fine!!!
