Michael Thompson tees off at 11:10 CDT. He is -10 which is 4 shots off the lead in 16th place.

I've had offers to mentor on the pro circuit, but I enjoy drilling through rock so much more.  Plus all the Gulf Streams and 5* hotels may cause me to lose my common touch.

One last tip before you go. Tip the beer cart girl big early. You will see her more often that way. In determining how much to tip you should consider the service, legs and the overall amount of skin showing.

Bud Cauley shot -5 today and finished at -11 in 16th place. Thompson is at -14 after 11 holes.

Cauley started slow but birdied 6 out of the last 8 holes. He is tied for 20th.

Thompson is having a great day, he is -17 in 2nd place thru 17. There are several people behind him that could pass him on the back nine. The back nine is playing very easy for these pros.

Both of these guys are going to bring home a nice check today.

It's not as glamorous as drilling through rock like WV or manufacturing jail equipment like me but it is a honorable way to make a living.
