Post by: pmull on May 03, 2011, 02:16:37 PM
TUSCALOOSA -- Alternative sites were discussed, but the Alabama baseball team's series this weekend against LSU will be staged as scheduled at Sewell-Thomas Stadium on the University of Alabama campus, with the only change being Saturday's game time.

A Saturday game that had been scheduled to start at 6:35 p.m. now will start at 3:05 p.m. The game still will be televised by CSS.

The Friday and Sunday games will start as originally scheduled at 6:35 p.m. and 1:05 p.m., respectively.

Sewell-Thomas Stadium stands only a few blocks from one of the neighborhoods that was destroyed Wednesday by a powerful tornado that killed at least 40 people in Tuscaloosa County.
