He is an experienced DB albeit in the ACC. Still, his playing experience is something Bama needs. Gotta hope our coaches will help him improve in a hurry, which will give the freshmen time to learn the D.
The portal had few - if any - top guys. To me, coaches have done a good job finding the best of what's out there. There will be a lot of unknowns in the first few games. Gotta hope some guys step up and stay healthy.

Nelson is really good but, IMO, we need a big man with some weight. Nelson has shown signs of greatness but he has also been knocked out of contention for rebounds. I'd love to see a big in the range of 6'-11" to 7'-2" with some muscle mass to give us a solid presence underneath the basket. Maybe I'm wrong though...  We are getting a 6-11 240# big man in Big Cliff. That will allow Nelson to play his natural 4 position. Big Cliff is a two time all defensive Big Ten player. Second team all Big Ten. A rim protector and rebounder who will average 10-12 points. The piece we were missing last year. That's GREAT. I knew that someone would come through with the official news of what has been happening in T-town lately... Thanks Pmull  Since Cliff Omoruyi was added Bama has jumped from being projected as a Top 10 team next year to Top 2. Kansas and Bama are projected to play for the championship. ESPN Bracketology has Bama projected as a #1 Seed. This is unbelievable because of one player. I always hope we are rated lower so we have that chip on the shoulder. RTR! |

We had two rounds of storms roll through last night. There was two confirmed tornados on the ground that followed the same path just a couple miles north of our house. No damage at all at my home thankfully.
