The SEC refs must be watching closely for late hits, especially after last week's crushing hits on Wilson.  I expect that anything close will be called tonight.  No doubt the Florida coaches asked for help with that: "Protect our QB."

You ever hear of Steve Carlton, the great pitcher for the Phillies in the 1970's & 80's? He was a left handed power pitcher with a great fastball and unhittable slider. He won like 310 games, struck out over 3,000, and was just a great pitcher. He would soak his left elbow in warm rice after every game he pitched.

There are just certain things we can't seem to do. Again, our O-line seems to be blocking better for Richardson which is a huge plus. Let's hope we can hit some passes to keep them off balance.

The back judge started running down field with Bama!

Okay, up two touchdowns and get the ball after the half, their starting QB is out and a true freshman has to go up against a defense with at least eight future NFL players coached by Saban and Smart.

I feel pretty good about where we are.

Brantley wouldn't be hurt if the refs had gotten the previous play correct.  Hate to see kid get hurt but for the second half we might be better off with Brantley out than with the TD.  Not that I think they had much of a chance with Brantley in anyway.

I remember watching him as a teenager. He played in 1969, 1970, & 1971. He owned the sophomore reception record at 56 until someone named Julio came along. He had great hands, if it was near him, he caught it. When we went to the wishbone in 1971, he became mainly a blocker. He might have caught 15 passes that year. I can't remember.

You're right.  Once we went to the wishbone, he was either wide open or blocking.  I think he was the receiver in B'ham against Tennessee.  First down we had a "fake 31, splitman runs post", and on the first play of the game he caught an 80-yard pass.

I just updated the leader board and BAMAWV is on top now with only 1 game left.  He picked Ole Miss and nailed the tie breaker, so he may end up being the winner.

Without Brantley?  LSU may shut 'em out.  They've got nothing without him.  This freshman can't read D's.

Hey guys, first chance to get on tonight (a certain female in my household who shall remain nameless has had control of the computer). Great win for the Tide tonight. Except for a couple of plays, defense played outstanding, offense was efficient as usual, as TR was his usual bada** self. I think this maybe just the first of probably couple of more losses for the Gators this year, especially if Brantley is out past next week. The Who is probably licking their chops over this freshman QB. Anyway, great win and I hope y'all enjoyed it as much as I did. RTR!!!
