Good Saturday morning. 30 degrees here in Taylors, SC. Seriously considering going for my walk. I'll have to give that some thought.

I think most of us are relieved that Locksley is the new OC. I know I am. I know CNS and Hugh Freeze are friends, but I just couldn't see any good having him as the OC. In fact, it looks like all the coaching pieces are falling into place. Now onto spring practice and the QB battle.

Get your butt out there and walk.  Me?  I'm sitting right here with my coffee, thank you.

I went grocery shopping at Walmarks instead. Same thing.

Good morning. A balmy 38 degrees here. Yesterday was beautiful. Actually played golf for the first time in weeks.

Looks like Bama held on to beat Miss St. I went to bed at halftime when they were up by 19. Must have been a bit of a letdown in the 2nd half, but hey, they won!

Good morning, early birds.  Coffee

Indeed, 2, Alabama beat MSU 68-62, despite being outscored in the second half 40-27.  Good win.  MSU's RPI was only 75 (record 14-4); ours was 30 (we needed that win for sure).

I didn't play golf yesterday.  Helped a buddy get his old car running; new battery certainly helped.  Runs well now, but smoky; leaking oil.  It's a 1994 Toyota with 140,000 miles.  May not live to see 200,000!

Guess I'll watch NFL this afternoon, even though none of my favorite teams remain in the mix.  Have a good day; it's warmer, but rainy.

Good morning folks.  Mid 40's here this morning but no rain...yet.  I think that is supposed to arrive either tonight or tomorrow.  I spend the day yesterday moving my dad's old Farmall tractor from his house to mine.  It really didn't take all day but I was in no hurry so...Three of the kids were doing some work for Dad so while they did that I borrowed his truck and took the tractor home.  He had taken the tractor and had the wheels replaced with brand new wheels, replaced the battery and ignition switch so it is now at it's new home for hopefully the next 30-40 years.  I hope to restore it and have it looking new again in the next couple of years.  The thing runs good but needs the carb. adjusted and the add-on hydraulic hoses replaced.  A few minor things then clean the oil and grease off of it and put a new coat of paint on it and it'll be good-to-go.  I know Dad will appreciate me doing that...

Love those Farmalls; had a friend with one in Louisiana.  We used it to plant a huge garden behind our house, and LF cooked vegetables EVERY FRIGGIN NIGHT!  Never had so much squash!

Squash is good for you. It's a super food. I actually love squash. My recently departed brother, however, couldn't be in the same room with it.

We used to put in a huge garden too but Mom and Dad were trying to raise 4 boys... Love fresh vegetables but can't stand squash. Give me some fresh okra, green beans, potatoes with a couple of fried pork chops and I'll be one fat and happy old man...
